2020 Running Goal - Update #27

This month has been tough. My legs are tired, my toes are sore, and my shoes are wearing out. Garmin had ransomware problems. The weather didn't cooperate. I had to run boring laps around a school gym for hours. But I'm proud of the work I've put in. I took what was given and now I'm only two days away from completing this mammoth month.

On July 20th, I got a PR for the furthest distance in one hour with 7.78 miles. More importantly, I was able to lower my 10K PR time by 35 seconds to my new record of 47 minutes and 18 seconds with a 7:38 mile pace.

On July 21st, due to bad weather, I ran 140 laps in a local high school basketball gym to get 7 miles.

I still need to run today and tomorrow. Two days to go, two running hours left, and 14 miles to finish this month. I am sitting at 203.79 miles, which is the most miles for me ever in one month. My previous record was 200.26 miles in July 2018.

For the year, I'm less than two miles from passing 1,000 miles which would put me at about 66% done.
