2020 Running Goal - Update #25

The first week of July is under my belt. I'm trying to get at least 6.5 miles each day for all 31 days. I've run 47.84 miles so far with a 6.83 miles per day average, so I'm doing a good job staying on pace. I've been basically running for one hour and stopping with whatever mileage I can get.

The weather has been hot and humid, even in the morning, but it is still doable. I've been bringing a towel outside to wipe off while running, because it is painful when sweat and sunscreen get in my eyes. The worst part is the constant swarm of annoying bugs like deer flies around my head and shoulders. They just fly right beside me waiting for my guard to drop so they can dive-bomb for a free meal.

Including today's run, I have burned 100,338 calories this year so far. I guess, if I can keep this up, there is a small chance I could get to 200,000 calories by the end of December. My best ever was 2018 with 172,306 calories, so it would be a stretch.
