2020 Running Goal - Update #11

Well, I am carefully optimistic that today was the last cold day for a while. According to the weather reports, the next week's temps should be in the low 40s. I will take it. I am ready for it. I am delighted and hopeful that warm weather is finally on the horizon and stays for a long time. It probably doesn't need to be said, but I'll say it again, these cold, windy, gray, cloudy days just plain blow.

I am over 208 miles for the year now at the end of February. I should be at 246 miles (4.10 miles x 60 days) to be on pace, so that puts me at 37.71 miles behind. I really think February is the hardest month to run due to the unpredictable weather and temperatures, at least when I think back to the last few years of serious running. With that month behind me, I feel confident that I can start eating away at that mileage deficit. Overall, my body feels pretty good right now.
