2018 Running Goal - Update #37

I ran 16.2 miles yesterday, besting my previous long distance PR by 1.2 miles, in 2 hours and 32 minutes. My lungs and legs felt good. My feet, however, were slowly turning to mush under the constant onslaught of loose pebbles and rocks that had wormed their way into my shoes. My feet didn't hurt exactly, but it was just annoying enough to always be present with each step. Oh, and my socks and pants were wet because of recent rain. I have less than 29 miles to go before hitting 1,000 miles, which is pretty amazing, because that was my total distance for all of 2017, and here we are, still in August 2018 with 127 days left. Another milestone to be proud of: I am over 150 running hours for the year, which is equal to 6.25 days, which makes me wonder, if I hadn't run, what would I have done instead with all that time?
